Digital Freebies is a reliable site that’s been around since 2004 and is one of the few sites we reviewed that offers weekly freebies and announces them via their email list. Most of the other sites we reviewed have free downloads but don’t publicize them very well or else require you to establish an account first. Just provide Digital Freebies with a valid email address and you’re set.

Community:

Digital Freebies has a strong community with multiple forums that enable users to connect with both the digital product designers as well as other “digi-scrappers”. The forums and blog foster a sense of community where the more experienced scrapbookers can offer tips and solutions to those who are new to this hobby. This is also the place where the various challenges and competitions are housed as well as the special events that Digital Freebies hosts.

The Boutique at Digital Freebies is well stocked with a wide variety of easy-to-use elements that will have you scrapping with nary a glue stick or paper punch in sight (unless you want to use those on your finished project for a hybrid approach.) For the novice digital scrapper, we suggest you sign up for the newsletters and try out a few freebies with your digital photos before you invest in the more elaborate kits and tools.
