Scrap Girls’ site is easy to use but to purchase anything you must create an account. Once you set up the account you’ll only need to log in for future purchases rather than go through the entire process of entering billing information and so forth every time.

Selection:  

Scrap Girls features an enormous selection of Photoshop/Photoshop Elements tools that allows you to manipulate photos, backgrounds and elements and achieve professional-looking results. They also offer a wide variety of digital elements. In keeping with the site’s teaching bent, all products’ pages have coordinating element suggestions along with layouts showing how the elements can be used together.

Product types on the Scrap Girls site range from rich French-inspired designs to comic book-style graphics to tea-stained vintage—to name just a few. There’s sure to be designs for every taste. There’s also a full commercial department that offers many design tools with a license to use them to produce designs for sale.
 

Quality:  

All elements are provided in industry standard 300 ppi (points per inch/pixels per inch). Solid backgrounds (papers) are typically formatted as jpegs while all elements that you would layer and expect to be able to see portions of the layer below it are in png format to preserve that transparency.

Scrap Girls is an excellent site for scrappers who are new to digital scrapbooking as well as more seasoned digi-scrappers. The tutorials and tips in the University are impressive and range from basics like layouts and font usage to more advanced topics such as using Photoshop tools. They also offer downloadable ebooks and ebooklets that provide a deeper treatment of various subjects.
